Art Arvos Childrens Program

This was a program designed and run for Grovely Christian Community Church to engage with local primary-school children and their families during the school holidays.  Catering to a wide range of interests, the creative activities included free-play environments with post-it galleries, cardboard villages, and colouring-in stations; as well as more instructed activities like edible pancake portraits, and straw-blowing abstracts; art-themed physical games and active mark-making adventures like monster-truck painting; and take-home crafts like pocket-pop-up match-box robots, and peg-giraffes!  Providing a fun and constructive platform for community interaction and creativity, the Art Arvos program connected with local families, built and strengthened neighbourhood relationships, and stimulated young minds with an educational alternative for their vacation time.
